Medical Massage for Rehabilitation

In-network

We are in-network (preferred providers) for Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon. Currently, we are accepting new clients of Regence BlueCross BlueShield ONLY. If you are insured under any other Blue Cross Blue Shield banner, please contact us to be added to the waitlist. New clients, using Regence, can follow the steps listed below to begin the registration process.

Medical Massage for Rehabilitation is goal oriented bodywork that is designed to restore or improve lost function caused by illness or injury, versus to promote general relaxation. The rate for Medical Massage for Rehabilitation is $31.25 per billable unit (15 minute increments). There is a maximum of 4 billable units (sessions do not exceed 60 minutes).

Out-of-network

If we are out-of-network with your insurance provider, you can potentially still receive services from Bridge City Massage. In this case, you simply pay out-of-pocket at the time of service and upon request, we can provide a superbill (within 5-7 business days) as proof of service. After receiving the superbill, you can submit a claim for reimbursement from your insurance provider, on your own behalf.

New Clients - Using Regence

We ask that you DO NOT SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT until registration at Bridge City Massage has been completed in full. Be advised, that in the event a client books a session before completing the registration process, that appointment will be cancelled.

Follow the steps listed below to register:

STEP #1:     Contact your insurance provider and ask the following questions, to learn the complete details of your plan:

-Is massage therapy for rehabilitative purposes a covered benefit?

-Are there any exclusions for massage therapy?

-Is massage therapy covered when performed by a Licensed Massage Therapist?

-Can massage therapy be performed by a Licensed Massage Therapist NOT working with/under a Chiropractor or Physical Therapist?

-Do I have a deductible to meet for massage therapy?

-What is my co-pay amount due at the time of services rendered?

-What is my co-insurance amount due at the time of services rendered?

-Do I have a maximum number of visits/or dollar amount for massage therapy per calendar year?

-Are the visits shared with any other providers (such as Acupuncture/Chiropractor/Physical Therapy)?

-Is a prescription required from my doctor/referring provider?

-Is a preauthorization or referral required?

STEP #2:    Email your date of birth (mm/dd/yyyy) along with a photo (front and back) of your insurance card to info@bridgecitymassage.com

STEP #3:    Within 5-7 business days of receiving your information, you will be contacted with instructions on making an appointment.

STEP #4: As a courtesy, we will conduct a benefits check (as a follow up to yours). While we try to be as accurate as possible when verifying benefits, your fees and coverage may change depending on your eligibility and benefits during the date of your sessions. This is an estimate and not a guarantee of payment or approval of medical necessity.

STEP #6: It is the client’s responsibility to know their benefits before booking a session. Out-of-pocket payment is required at the time of service if you do not know the full details of your medical benefits coverage.

Flexible Spending Account (FSA)/Health Spending Account (HSA)

We accept FSA/HSA cards as payment at the time of service. Upon request, we will provide a superbill for your records.

Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) and Personal Injury Protection (PIP) Claims

Unfortunately, we do not accept MVA or PIP claims. Contact us for a referral.
